My mother-in-law was a resident of Majestic Pines Senior Living. It is a wonderful facility, if it weren't 4 hours away from us, my father-in-law would have stayed there, and that was not conducive for us. They're very caring. It is a bit of a smaller community. They take the time to get to know the residents. I would recommend them to anybody that was looking for care in Grand Rapids. They are expensive, but in Grand Rapids, they're comparably priced. I think it's a good value for the money you're paying. She had her own room. It was a little bit smaller, but it fits a twin bed nicely. She did have a TV stand. The closet was considerably smaller. There was a bathroom, and we did wind up getting her a little refrigerator to have in there. I liked the size of it. These are people that moved out to the country to get away from people, so it was nice not to have them in a huge facility. It was also very homey. They had lots of little sitting rooms that you could go and sit in. It did not look like a hospital; it was much homier. We had a couple of issues with staff early on, but they were resolved. The facility is dated. It was not dangerous, but could use a coat of paint inside and some carpet cleaning, but basically, it was fine.

I did a tour of Ecumen Meadows. It was bright, and they were involved in residents' lives. They had lots of activities. It was clean and updated. They went through a very detailed tour and explanation of what the community is like. It was a place where someone could go to live and enjoy their life. It felt like home. The staff who gave us the tour was wonderful. They greeted us at the door and had a sign right inside the front entrance welcoming our family. It was all just very well done. We saw several apartments. They were bright and clean, and everything was fresh and updated. It was very nice. We love the kitchenette in the apartment. They were great. They had transportation, a salon, and happy hour, and they play cards. They have church services and exercise classes. There were just too many to list. It was just phenomenal. They give everyone a calendar, with things that they can join in on. In truth, it made me want to move there.

This facility is really nice. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. My grandpa lived here for 3 years after my grandma died. The residents are encouraged to participate in activities and seem to be generally very happy. My grandpa already had some friends there but it was a nice little community for him to meet more people. The rooms are nice, They are basically an apartment with a kitchen living area, a bathroom, and a bed room. The meals served also seemed to be good as well. Over all I give it 5 stars for the friendly clean environment.

The facility itself is incredible. Its set up as though its an apartment complex with all the assistance that my grandmother will need. The hallways and rooms are all beautiful and everyone there is happy. The staff is friendly and helpful, and all of the residents have nothing but good to say about them. Its also really great that the residents are encouraged to spend time with each other and although there is a kitchen in their room they still have meals provided. There was also a great room with a kitchen, where we spent her birthday, and all of the family was able to get together there and use the facility to cook dinner, celebrate with cake all the while the kids played games. We were welcomed by the staff as though we were family and it always seems like we are going to grandma's when we visit, not to some strange place where she lives. The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart.
