We put my friend at St. Michael's. Our experience there was wonderful. They have a rehab unit and a nursing home unit, and it goes to a real extended care. I was very pleased with the care that my friend received while she was there. They were excellent. The staff was very caring. Administration was very caring. They all got involved immediately when she was transferred there. They came and introduced themselves from all of the departments. They would call family meetings often. The food was good. The staff was kind. It's an older building than the other facility, but it was kept very clean. I was very pleased with my friend's care at St. Michaels. They have physical therapy, they have a very nice chapel, and they have a Catholic and a Protestant service every week. Another thing they did that I thought was really nice after my friend passed away, we were invited to a memorial service about four months after. The family and friends of anyone that had passed during that time were invited, and they had a little lunch after and a chapel service for us there. It was very nice remembering her as one of their residents and treating the family as if we were still part of their community.
