My grandmother lived at this home for many years, and it was more than just any other nursing home, the staff really made every effort to make it feel like a real home. The halls feature some great artwork and don't have a sterile hospital feel to them. There's a great courtyard area where the residents can go outside, a pool table for residents or guests that want to play, and a whole slew of birds you could sit and watch in an indoor habitat. The staff were all super friendly and took a personal interest in each and every resident's well-being. The nurses aides were very attentive and the activities aides also are wonderful. They even would bring in a cosmetologist to do the ladies' hair on a pretty regular basis (not sure if the residents had to pay extra for this part). We had many birthday parties and such in the provided activities room and the staff was always very accommodating. They had church services there every Sunday and asked the residents if they would like to attend; the pastor was very kind and welcoming. There also was a resident dog, Josie. I think she's a boxer - the residents seemed to just love her. These extra touches really did seem to make my grandma happy, and as family we could see that they were taking great care of her. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone within a reasonable driving distance as a great place for relatives that may need the assistance of a nursing home.
