I use to volunteer at The Villa in Mora, MN. I enjoyed the staff who was friendly and courteous to me and the residents. I would often come during lunch and help feed the residents who seemed very appreciative. After lunch we would play bingo and I would usually help the residents who had Alzheimer. The facility was quite clean and the residents treated with respect. I felt the facility needed a remodeling because it seemed a little drab and depressing. I also thought in the summer The Villa could of used better ventilation. In very hot weather there was a slight smell of urine. I thought the staff tried their best to keep the residents active and most residents did seem happy. I also thought the food the residents were fed wasn't very appetizing, though most residents were on strict diets. If a family member was thinking of becoming a resident here I would hold no objections. The nursing home was landscaped very nicely and the building was all on one level, but very spacious.
