I visited Hill Street Place. I liked the size of the rooms and the price they were asking because it fit into my budget with what I wanted. They had such a variety of room sizes that I liked. There were five different sizes of rooms that you could get, and I found just what I was looking for in one of those rooms. I liked the fact that they have a lot of activities, and I know about half the people that are there. I sat in on some of the activities, and I was really impressed by the number of things they have going on there. I didn't have much interaction with the staff when I was there that day. I was just there observing with a friend of mine who lives there. I've heard them say they like the people that are there, but that's all I know. They only serve one meal. I prefer to cook myself, and they have a kitchen. They had garages that you could rent for the cars too, and I drive a car, so I definitely like that idea. I visited three different apartments, and I liked the arrangement of one, especially. I didn't feel comfortable with the one-bedroom. It felt closed up. They had crafts and bingo the day I was there. The library from the town came with books for people who were interested. I saw a pool table. The number of books that I saw sitting around in all the areas was important because I'm a reader and I liked what I saw. I also liked the fact that every once in a while they take a bus and load up the people and take them to a place in town to eat together if they want to go. If you want to get a meal, you can sign up the day before and pay for that meal on your bill.

It's been over a year since I last visited the senior apartments of Hill Street Place. We used to meet there to play Bridge because one of the residents there was in our Bridge club. We visited my friend there and observed what was going on. The facility seemed really nice, really clean, and well kept. The manager is the one you talk to if you want to live there. It's connected to the hospital, so you'd have good access to medical care, too. The manager was very helpful and very friendly. They have a full facility for dining, and a community room that we use for playing cards. The facility was very nice and easily accessible, especially since I have a walker. It was easy to get in.
