Valley View Manor has a few residents that are veterans. My dad is a veteran, so they made him feel very comfortable there. They have lots of activities. Every time there is an activity, the activity director cruises around and grabs everybody, and says, "Come on, let's go!" There are nurses and helpers up and down the hallways constantly. All he has to do is scream for help and somebody is going to come. The facility is nice and small, so he doesn't get confused. It is small enough that he can understand where he's going, which is nice. The place is clean. There's no smell of urine. They got a custodian all day long and another one all night long. The food is OK. Then they got bingo and Keno games, as well as people coming in and singing and playing guitars. They had Halloween where all the kids from town came in and handed out candy. They gave prizes during bingo so the residents could get Christmas presents for their grandchildren. They made it easy enough for the residents to do so that everybody was going to be involved. It costs a lot of money, but he needs somebody there 24/7.
