SpringBrook Village of La Crescent

I'm very impressed with SpringBrook Village of La Crescent. It's well taken care of. The rooms are very large. The people are very friendly. The food is incredibly good. It's homemade. Everything about it seems very good. There are fewer caregivers than I wish there would be, but that's true everywhere. In terms of activities, they do music, arts, and movies. They have entertainers, and they have this thing called slide drumming where they go and do African drumming.

I was able to tour SpringBrook Village of La Crescent. The property was beautiful. The people were so kind. We stopped and talked to a few of the employees that were working that day, and they provided me with information on what they do and how they help. I toured the dining area and where they do their daily activities and it's very organized and very clean. The rooms were perfect for what my dad would have needed. The hallways and everything weren't cluttered. When we were doing the tours and looking at some of the rooms, each has its own little personality quirks, which is kind of cute. I got the impression that people enjoyed staying there and they got to be themselves while they were there. It's a great tour and very educational. I sat down with the staff, and he was so wonderful. He was compassionate to our needs. And though the price was outside of our budget, he still said, 'I would still like you to tour so you can get an idea and I can answer any questions that you have,' and he was great about that. And then we went back to his office afterward and he even said, 'Even if you don't decide to come here, if you have questions, I'm happy to help. I've been in this role for a very long time.' He gave me his card and told me to reach out for questions if I had any. We were very comfortable with one another. If we were to be able to get Dad into a facility, I would prefer him to go somewhere like that because I feel like they care for their tenants. The staff showed me where the kitchen was. He was very enthusiastic about how they have the best cooks. It was light and easy to tour. I didn't feel like I was in anybody's way.

My mother will be moving into SpringBrook Village of La Crescent. We chose them because of the staff, cleanliness, and security. I have not tried the food, but I've seen the menu and I've seen people eating. Mom will have access to more things than she does in her own home. There's a salon, a church, a main seating area, an enclosed sunroom, and a walking path. It looked very clean.

SpringBrook Village of La Crescent was a nice place. We've seen assisted living and non-assisted living apartments. We've seen their dining area and stuff like that. It wasn't a huge tour we had. I took a bunch of information from the manager there and he told me to reach out to him and we go into more detail at a later date. We viewed two apartments. We've seen an independent living apartment and an assisted living apartment then we got a quick tour of the place and that was about the extent of it. It's a very nice facility, well-kept, and clean. They have laundry areas, social gathering areas, a hair salon, game rooms, and stuff like that. The staff during the tour was very nice, very informative, and courteous.
