Staff:The Glenwood Retirement Village is almost always understaffed. Almost all of the Certified Nursing Assistants and Trained Medical Assistants are in high school. They are apparently unreliable, calling in all the time and not showing up. Also, leadership does not replace them.Amenities:Glenwood Retirement Village has a great activities department. They are often bringing residents to outings, not just entertaining on site. When they do entertain on site, they often bring in outside entertainment that is very lively and exciting. I cannot speak on the dietary amenities. A lot of the equipment is older, but staff does a good job of utilizing it appropriately.Facilities:The building is, of course, pretty old. It is laid out really well though. It is, to my knowledge, the only facility with an Alzheimer's unit in the area. They do very good work in this unit, called the "Rainbow Unit". Also, they divide station 1 and station 2 very appropriately. One is for longer term residents needing more care and one is for short term stays.
