My Mother lived at Golden Acres for the last 16 months of her life. When Mom required more care than our family could provide, Diane, (the owner), was very accommodating in finding a room for her. Mom was even allowed to have her cat come stay with her, which made a difficult transition a little easier. The facility is an old Victorian home that has been converted to a Residential Boarding Home. It does not have the feeling of an institution. Golden Acres has a feeling more like a personal home. There were birthday celebrations for the Residents, special outings in the van, and Sunday church services in the living room. Our experience with the staff was positive, and they all worked hard and cared about the residents. Thank you Golden Acres for taking good care of my Mom.

I would not recommend anyone going there. The care, staff, food, smell, the whole thing, Golden Acres was not a good place.
