My grandmother has trouble eating and getting around. When she first moved to Allen Oaks, some of the shifts seemed unaware that she had trouble eating. There was a sign posted in her room about this, but signs don't always get read. I informed the nurse on duty about this and they corrected this problem immediately. From my interactions with the staff, they all seem very polite and my grandmother doesn't complain. The facility is kept clean, neat, and well staffed. My only real complaint that can't easily be addressed is the lack of parking. There's only room to park about a dozen vehicles and if you are unlucky, you sometimes get blocked in on all sides. Overall, I appreciate the work that the staff does to help my grandma retain some of her independence. I would recommend Allen Oaks to anyone in the area that needs more care than their family or other services can provide.

We just had staffing for my mother this past week. She's been a patient there for the past year. I was very concerned about putting my mother in a home. She loved it as soon as she got there. She would beg my father to come meet her. He would go check her out daily. The staff there was wonderful not only to my mom, the patient, but to my father also. One day my father went to pick up mom & the nurses & aides saw that daddy was not feeling well & helped him get to hospital and called me. I didn't know that people still helped others anymore without signing a million forms first and let's not forget those copies of insurance card & ID. Everyone from administration to aides are friendly, consider of patients and the families. Wonderful place, give them a 8.5 out or 10. Thank you to entire staff.
