Praire Mission is a very hospitable facility. You are greeted by friendly staff and it is a much homier atmosphere than any other assisted living facility I have ever been in. There is a lot of one on one time with each resident, and they are made to feel at home. This is sometimes quite a task, I would think, whenever someone is asked to move from their own home to one of these facilities. There are many activities available, too, so that the residents can stay active and associate with other residents. The therapists that they employ are definitely top notch. My father-in-law was in a wheelchair when he arrived and by the time he left a few weeks later was using only a cane. The therapists worked with him everyday, twice a day, except Sundays. That was the only free day that he had the entire time he stayed there. I would definitely recommend the Prairie Mission Retirement Village to anyone who wants a caring, loving atmosphere to send a loved one that is no longer able to completely care for themself.
