I am so happy with them. They allow Bill to have dignity and feel needed. He was a professor. At 57, he has to have pretty intensive care- he just cannot be on his own for long. He is not ready to sit in a rocker or pace a floor. They allow him to "work" for the facility. It's in his care plan. They make arrangements for him to be active and stay active. It helps totally with his mental wellness. He still gets homesick but he loves his job.

Prairie Sunset Manor is a wonderful place to have a member of your family stay and be cared for. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the on-site doctors and nurses made me feel my great-grandmother was very safe and secure during her stay. The meals were wonderful, as she told me everyday! The Amish/Mennonite community is very giving and loving and it really shows at Prairie Sunset Manor. My grandma was able to stay in a room of her own and the staff helped with light housekeeping until it became too much for her. When she was depressed that she could no longer function safely by herself, the staff consoled her in a way that made her feel she still had her dignity intact. As her condition worsened, the staff continued the high-level of care she had always received. She was never ignored or left alone and scared. I strongly recommend Prairie Sunset Manor for you, your friends, and your family members!
