"The rooms are a bit on the small side, but when my mom was there she was well cared for. The staff from the administrator and director of nursing, to the housekeeping staff and dietary were amazing they were very attentive to her needs, and the needs of her entire family. They answered questions promptly, and took care of any issues mom experienced with professionalism and expediency. The staff here is like a family and they included her immediately. Their Activities director was amazing as well. They offered restaurant style dining so we were able to go eat meals with her and choose what we wanted and the food wasn't at all like "Nursing home food". It was a good choice for us."

"There is not enough staff at the Holiday Resort. The ratio for aid per resident should be 1 aid to 5 or 7 residents. But here it's only 1 aid to 15 or 20 residents. This leaves room for a lot of neglect. My mother has been here almost 2 years. We are very disappointed. She doesn't get taken to the bathroom often enough, and she doesn't get enough water during meals. She has had many UTI's due to this, and has wound up in the hospital many times. They have a very high turnover rate with the help. The aides are overworked (sometimes 16 hours a day). They wind up quitting. "

"Rooms, restrooms cleaned every day mopped and disinfectant used. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable in areas they need to be. Visitor room is decorated nicely. Table and chairs for the family too sit and have a meal with the family member. Its very nice! Thank you for going beyond the call for the residents. It's truly appreciated by the family members. "

"My tour at Salina Presbyterian Manor was very good, and I saw everything I needed to see. You can get a house there, which is a duplex, and it's very nice. They also have apartments in the larger building. They don't have quite as much room as the houses, but they're still really very good. The place is very clean, you can tell that they don't take shortcuts, and it was a very nicely cared for area."

"I was impressed with Arbor Court Retirement Community at Salina. They have a large room downstairs for the people to read and play games. They have a dining room where they feed two meals a day. The living quarters are very nice there. They have a garden out back and I can have my own garden if I want to. I thought it was a very nice place. I like it. The staff members were very nice and very friendly. I really like the lady. She was very nice. Their one-bedroom apartment has a living room, a kitchen, a bath, and a bedroom. The bedroom is very large. I thought it was very nice. They have a common area. They were playing there. I saw everything there and it was very impressive when I went there. The staff members were very efficient and very nice people. The place was very well laid out."

"Eaglecrest is big. It has everything. It has underground parking and swimming pools. You eat meals from the menu; you don't just have your meals served. They have activities and transportation that will take you places. It's elegant as far as homes are concerned. It's an exclusive senior care. It's very expensive and it would be the top of the line in Salina. It has it all. It has assisted and independent living. The staff members were all friendly. The rooms were small but when you're old, you don't need much space."

"My sister has moved into Lincoln Park Manor, Inc. It's close to where I am. It's very clean. The staff members have been very friendly and caring. I'm very pleased with the staff. I think they give them good care. I don't have any complaints yet anyway. The place itself seems very clean. They had to go in a few years ago and did a bunch of upgrades. With regards to activities, they have crafts, movies bingo, and things like that. The price seems too high to me but they do a lot."

"Brookdale Senior Assisted Living facility is a home for elderly adults who would like to live in a facility and have some of their needs met (i.e. medications, bathing etc.) Brookdale is very welcoming and a very comforting environment. The residents have a choice to either share a room or they can have their own one bedroom apartment. The residents have social activiites such as Bingo. I was touring the facility for a possible place for my grandmother who needed more assistance with her day to day needs. The only thing that I struggled with was the cost of the facility - which ranged from 2500.00 - 5000.00 per month depending on what was needed by staff. "
