My father was a resident of Maple Heights from the time Oak Ridge Acres closed until his passing in 2010. My mother is currently a resident in the skilled nursing wing, having transferred from the assisted living wing. The staff have been wonderful and very caring with all aspects of her care, keeping in constant touch with me as to her care. I would highly recommend Maple Heights to anyone needing nursing home care by a staff that considers the residents to be family.

The people at Maple Heights were very friendly. They stopped what they were doing and visited with me. The rooms were fine; there were not as large as the rooms I'd seen at other places, but they were clean. There was no smell. As the nurses were going down the hallway, they were speaking to each person and kind of touching them as they went by. The kindness, caring, professionalism, and homey atmosphere were what stuck in my mind. I would highly recommend this facility.

Maple Heights was older and not quite as clean as the other facility that we visited. They seemed personable, and the location was close to my mom and dad’s hometown.

Maple Heights nursing home is not only a nursing home but also has Assisted Living and an Alzheimer's unit. I entered through the main entrance and noticed right away how homey the facility is. The front desk is located inside an office so you walk down a short halway and into a "living room" where the residents can watch TV or even play games on a Wii. The facility is still in the middle of renovations one of the two dining rooms have beautiful marble top tables. Breakfast is made to order. The Alzheimer unit has a black lab that stays with the residents, which the residents love. As I entered this unit I noticed right away somebody playing a piano with upbeat music. The manager of the nursing home hugged the residents as she went through and stopped to talk to whoever wanted to talk. I felt like the entire staff truly cared about the residents at this home. I feel like it would be a wonderfuly place to spend the last days of my life.
