I'm impressed with Copper Creek Senior Living. It's a beautiful place. It was very clean. I was impressed with the people. They just made you feel so homey. We had a meal with them, and that was awesome. It was as if I went out to lunch at the restaurant. It was that good. I had a really good experience. They showed me assisted living. They took me into memory care, too, just to show me if my memory goes bad or whatever, they just wanted me to see both sides of it. I was very, very impressed with the place. The staff who took me around was very thorough. We went through everything. One of the gals from the office in Rochester came down and they made sure they answered all your questions, and they were through. They had me meet with a nurse, and I did the nurse assessment, and I passed that. They covered all their bases, and it was like they were trying to make a big impression, but they didn't need to, so that spoke for itself. Going to another assisted living, they didn't give you your meds and stuff, but up here, they give me the meds like I am in my nursing home, and they're carrying everything of what I have here, and so I was impressed. They have a nurse on hand 24/7, and that's a biggie for me. I would highly suggest it.

I'm in the independent living of Copper Creek Senior Living. It's not too bad. It's not home, but they are very careful with the residents. I had no trouble at all getting somebody to help. The food is rather good. They vary, of course, with the cook, but the people are okay. They're very nice. Most of the residents are a little older than I am. They have a very nice setup with the rehab people, where they come in every day and work with the people. Their maintenance seems to be good. There were some questions in maintenance where maybe they're shorthanded, but they seem to take care of things. They have some management issues, and people are hiring staff, but they seem to be working on it and correcting it. The staff members are very good, though. The dining area is spacious, bright, and clean. They need some landscaping help. Paint-wise, they're fine. However, they seem to have mowing kind of things to take care of. They do not seem to have an activities director. They've got bingo going, but there are not too many planned activities. They are having a hard time getting religious activities in here, and there are no book clubs or that kind of stuff. Nevertheless, I'm getting what I paid for.
