I moved into Connect55+ Indianola. I liked everything except not being able to park outside my front door and walk in. Even though I did not end up on the first floor, I got the closest to the door off the elevator as I could and I find that it's as convenient as it can be for an apartment. With a couple of glitches, I'm doing good. I haven't dealt with too many people, but the people I have dealt with are very helpful, very cordial, and very welcoming. Food is not part of the facility here. Location-wise, it's close to everything. My room is small compared to what I'm used to. Upkeep seems adequate.

It was our first experience with a 55+ community - we hated it - have grandchildren. One, when around 2, ran down the hall with his sister getting him quickly - right away a resident down the hall went to the office saying we let him do this ALL the time-she complained about everyone. Then, there was a woman being abused by her husband and they did not care - yet, everyone witnessed this several times. The mangers changed repeatedly. My husband was a stroke victim - able to walk with a brace and cane. They had ADA rooms on first floor- I saw the blueprints, but said they didn't have any. Put us on the second floor in the middle with elevators on either end - too far for him to walk. After a fire drill, I asked what would happen in case of a real fire. How would they help my husband? Would not do anything. So, I reached out to the fire department. At that time, they shared the ladder truck with Carlisle and Norwalk. They said to stand on the balcony and let them know I had someone needing assistance. Luckily, Indianola has their own truck now. Our shower never worked correctly in 2 years. I would have to roll up towels at either end to make sure the bathroom was not flooded. The cost during that time was $200 more/per month than the apt. I moved to - a larger, nicer, with more amenities - in Norwalk and not 55+.

The people I have seen at Connect55+ Indianola have been wonderful, friendly, and just nice. The apartment is awesome. The place is fairly new, and it looks very wonderful. The apartment when you drive up to the facility is clean, wonderfully landscaped, and beautiful. The appliances they have there are a washer-dryer, a dishwasher, a stove, and a refrigerator. They have a bathroom, too. The manager was wonderful. She was very kind and very knowledgeable. She took me around and showed me everything like the weight rooms, the parlor, the game room, and the library.

The apartments at Connect55+ Indianola were roomier and very nice. The lady who did the tour was very professional. She showed us two different options and just what we needed to see. The dining area was also really spacious and very nice. There are daily activities all the time. Once a month they have get-togethers and then special occasions, like going out to eat at different places or to watch movies.

Connect55+ Indianola has nice apartments. They have a community room. They have a little bit of everything, but the price was too much. They had a washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. However, it costs more. You have extra additives that you have to pay extra for. It was very clean and very nice.
