Welcome to Country Care Center! Country Care Center Corporation is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1987. The organization maintains a 40 bed residential care facility in rural Shelby County for individuals 18 years of age and older. Located four miles south of Harlan on Highway 59, Country Care Center Corp offers private, semi private and three person bedrooms. We have three lounge areas one allows smoking with satellite TV, one central lounge with satellite TV and the third offers privacy for family and friends to visit, also with satellite TV. Each resident also has hook up for TV in their rooms. A phone is available for client use in our dining room. Country Care Center Corp is a 24 hour supervised facility providing on site nursing, medication management services, laundry and housekeeping assistance and meal preparation. We provide transportation to physician appointments and Sunday church services. Weekly activities include in house Church, shopping in both Harlan and Atlantic, bowling, movies and dining out. Other activities include zoo trips, Adventureland, the Circus, swimming, picnics and parades. Country Care Center Corporation also provides HCBS and SCL support services to clients in the community who need additional support to remain in independent living. Country View, is a Drop In Center offered on Sundays to any person from our community or surrounding community that needs or wants a place to come meet new people, play pool, cards and games. We offer movies and karaoke a puzzle room and library. Snacks and drinks are provided at no cost. In the near future we plan to offer one meal per month for those in attendance.
