"My mom moved into The Harbors Retirement Community, and it's excellent. They were very accommodating and friendly. They offer good food and have a lot of activities for the people to do. She has an apartment with a separate bedroom, a separate living room, and a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. She has a big bathroom with a walk-in shower. She also has two big closets and two big windows. The staff is very friendly. They have a menu that you can order off of if you don't want what they're serving for the day. It's very, very charming. It's set up in an old world, Menominee atmosphere, old downtown. So, it's very nice. My mother has never participated in anything and now she participates in everything, so it's a good thing. It's well worth the money. They have a partner company there when if you need someone to come in and give them meds or give a shower, they charge extra. "

"Bayside Senior Living was very nice. The rooms were good sizes. They had all the features I'm looking for. We didn't meet any of the people that live there, but the person who gave the tour was great. The facility is handicapped, so it is really nice. They have a community room. They have an exercise room. They have a game and computer room. There is an outside area for a patio, and there is also an inside area if you want to sit by the fireplace in the winter. It pretty much has everything that we need. We've filled out the application, but we don't know for sure yet. We like it a lot."

"My mom is in the independent living area of New Life of Crivitz. It is only 10 miles from my home. I really like it. It is nice, it has an open concept, and It is huge. I love the way that they have their pictures all over and it is more of a country place. It is set up very beautifully. One side has the couches, which are very nice. There is a huge TV where you can play the Wii and different networks if you didn't want to stay in your room to watch TV. There is a huge stone fireplace. The middle part is where they do chair aerobics and they have very nice exercise equipment. Other people come in --- 65 and older -- and they do sneaker aerobics. Over to the left there is another room and you can have a family party. One of the features that I really is the church services, but for some reason they stopped that. They have a pool table and they have a stylist come in that do their residents' hair. They play bingo, they have games, and they have a boomers club that comes in. They do have other activities; like on Saturday they will have a birthday of a resident who is 99. There are people that do come in at different times of the week, which is really nice because my mom can interact with different people and not just the people that are always there. I think it has 30 rooms and each room is about 350 square feet. It is actually furnished, but if you choose to, you can take their furnishing out and put yours in. That's what we chose to do, because I want it to be more personal for my mom. It has a really nice room for the kitchen and the dining room, which is actually set up like a country inn. It really has really nice rugged wood and there is a bar. You can sit around the bar if you want to. They have tables around it as well. Then they have a great huge stone fireplace and there is a TV so they can watch TV while they are eating. Their food is okay. Today she is very satisfied with the food, but the other day, she didn't care for it. What's great about it is that they have three meals and three snacks. My mom will go out and socialize at that time. There are all kinds of things that I really like about the place, plus the people that take care of then, the ladies are very sweet. They just make you feel right at home. I will definitely recommend them. "
