"We toured Dimensions Living Stevens Point, and we were very pleased. They're very professional. They gave us a lot of information. The apartment was very spacious and clean and it seemed very safe there. The facility was nice. We didn't sample the food, but the staff has been reaching out a lot since and wants to see if we have any questions or concerns. So she's been very thorough, and Jenny's been very helpful. We saw the storage that we can use, the dining area, and their gathering places all over the place where they can play games and socialize."

"Park Vista Retirement Living is very beautiful. I like the setting. It’s set right on a golf course. It’s very close to town, but it’s off the road. It’s all covered with trees. I thought it was not at all institutionalized. My in-laws have a 1-bedroom, but the facility has 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and studio apartments. It has a full kitchen. The rooms are beautiful, well kept, all freshly painted when you move in, and new carpeting. The staff is very friendly, very accommodating, and really easy to talk to. All meals are included for independent and assisted living. The food is wonderful. $5 to $6 for me to eat there, and then if somebody wants to stay overnight, they have a room there that they can pay $40 a night. There’s a bus, and they go shopping 3x a week. They’ll take you to any of your appointments; that’s all included. They’ll take you if you wanted to go somewhere and if it wasn’t scheduled -- or if the bus wasn’t running that day -- you call the taxi, and that would be free. The only thing you have to pay for is your phone service. They’re pretty happy since they moved from Arizona. My mother-in-law looked 100% better in 4 weeks just because she’s eating. "

"Mom is at Willow Brooke Pointe Senior Living and it is fine. We didn't have all that many options. Most of the spots are filled up here, but they had an opening, so we took advantage of that. The place was put together nicely. It's new and comfortable. It is kept well. The staff is pretty good. We have not run into any problems with that, but I know everybody's struggling to find staff these days. They communicate if she runs into any problems and they seem to have a pretty good grip on exactly what they need to do to make sure she responds the way that we need her to. Her room is small. It can fit a bed and a couple of chairs in it. There's a kitchen and a bathroom in there that usually seems to be pretty clean. They do activities, and they have a courtyard."

"I visited Fireside Apartments and they had a lot of wonderful programs there. They had a community room with a lot of things going on. They staff was very friendly and the manager was very gracious. The apartments were very nice and they were updating them so things will be brand new and they were putting newer appliances. "

"My grandparents required a move to an assisted living facility earlier this year after my grandpa had an accident in the garage. We could not be any more happy about where they ended up! It's more of a "supervised freedom" place than anything. The location is gorgeous - it overlooks the Wisconsin River and is tucked away in the woods along the Green Circle trail, which beats being in the other facility along the highway. They get to live in their own apartment, but the staff is on call 24/7 if they need help. Meals are cooked for them, they're given whirlpool baths, there is a theater where they screen movies, there's a chapel and breakfast bar, they get help exercising... everything is all planned out but at the same time it's optional. My grandparents don't need help with everything - my grandma is a good cook - and this place is perfect for them. The four times I've been there have all been pleasant. The staff is friendly and knows everyone by name. The place is clean. My dad even went to high school with one of the RNs! All-in-all, my family and I couldn't be happier knowing that Grandpa and Grandma are in safe hands and we would recommend River View Lodge to anyone in Central Wisconsin seeking a supervised freedom facility.
