"We visited Ashwood, and I really liked that they had cottages outside that you could rent if you wanted to or live in. Everything seemed to be efficient. The inside of their apartments were really nice. We met the girl that toured us, but everyone seemed very loving and caring there. She was very informative, gave us all the information, and answered all our questions at that time. She was very helpful. We were very pleased in visiting this place. "

"Moved mom into a large 2 bedroom apt. It is just like a real home but with a wonderful staff who looks after her every need. They are such lovely people who genuinely care about the residence in their care. The food is amazing and plentiful. This place is beautiful inside and out. Best thing we ever did for mom!!???? "

"I had a good tour at The Grand Senior Living. They have everything that you might want, it's just a little pricey for me. They have a fitness center, I like the idea of different activities that they have, and they have a movie room. They had a nice outside area, not only for walking but if you want to go out and do a cookout or something. They offer transportation, and I like that they have somebody at the door all the time. Some places don't have anyone after a certain time. The staff was very friendly. John was the person who took us around, he was very much a people person and very helpful. They were having a program the next week on moving, and he gave me the flier and invited me. He also said if I wanted to come back and have a meal, so I could experience it. So they're very willing and very cooperative. I just like the whole atmosphere of The Grand, from the time you walk in and walk out, and the people that I passed by were friendly. And that's important to me."

"Brownsboro Park Retirement Community was a very nice facility with great staff and good programs. Overall, it had a very good feel to it. We talked with the folks who were living there, and they were very happy. This place is a definite possibility for us. "

"It was very clean. They were very helpful. It didn’t look like there were a lot of activities while we were there, but everything looked very nice, and they had a full calendar of activities. They had a bus for off-site activities, which was nice. The rooms were a nice size and included a nice, big restroom, which was easily accessible, and a small kitchenette. Everything you would need was there. "

"I love my room very, Great layout. Close to all the activity's and dinning room. Food is good, different stuff all the time. I love they have snacks out all day. The Staff is amazing they are so caring and very hands on with everyone. They are the highlight here. I also love that we have different activity's housekeeping and transporting when needed. Everyone is great here"

"I can't say enough great things about the staff. They have very low turnover so Mom gets to see the same staff consistently. They always keep me in the know with my mom's care needs. The rooms have been completely remodeled with lots of storage and closet space. Although she doesn't participate in activities, there is something for everyone! The food is awesome and mom can always find something she likes! I have been in the memory care and it is always clean and the residents are always engaged in some activity. The directors are always available and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the residents are safe. I highly recommend Vitality Springdale for your loved one!"

"What I liked best about Vitality Living St. Matthews was that they had something called an ambassador program, wherein the residents that had been living there would try to befriend and kind of show the new residents around. And I thought that was nice. It was smaller than the other place I looked at, so they were not able to offer as many amenities. The gym was very small; there were 2 pieces of equipment and it was also in a shared space, like an activities room. They did have a nice courtyard there and they had a lot of activities like games, crafts, and cooking classes. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was located near 2 two shopping malls down the street. Restaurants galore, anything and everything you'd want were very close by."

"The facility is smaller and older, but I felt very good about it. The staff that I've spoken to have been wonderful. I'm looking ideally for 2-bedrooms and the size of the ones I saw here were good. In addition to the meals, they have a bistro where you could buy meals at other times if you wanted them. They have the theater, and an exercise room, and they have a courtyard with really nice walking paths. They have walk-in closets and a washer-and-dryer in every apartment. They have a dog park if people want to walk and have an animal they want to walk. They also have 24-hour emergency response and the staff was very informative. I would live there, even though it was an older facility, that wouldn't bother me because there was a good deal about it."

"We toured Westminster Village Kentuckiana. It was very nice and the lady that worked there was extremely knowledgeable and told us about our options. They have assisted living and independent living, and so we appreciate that. She also provided us with literature. It's also close to all the shopping centers and banks. She showed us a 2-bedroom with a kitchenette. It was laid out quite nicely, but the only thing we didn't like was the small kitchenette. We could go downstairs, though, to the main dining room and have meals. So that was a plus. If you were in assisted living, and I guess in independent living, too, they had a lot of activities going on. It keeps you busy. They have a library on each floor and a place that you could go, and spend time with your family. They had an outdoor grill available, too, and a very nice walking path with a pond. You have your independence."

"I toured Tucker Station Senior Apartments. It's a very nice place for seniors who can do things you can do for themselves. It's very quiet and peaceful. They have lots of activities. They have a family room, a gym, and a beauty shop. They have a library and a cafe. They are dog-friendly, and have a nice lobby and a community room."

"I'm moving into Forest Springs Health Campus. It has independent living villas, individual houses, and one-bedroom units. They take care of all the things in the rent. The only thing you have to pay for is your phone. They do housekeeping twice a month. If you don't feel like cooking in your kitchen, you can go to the cafeteria and get a home-cooked meal for $5. It's really nice. There was a man walking with his dog. They have a clubhouse that you can have a party in with no charge except you have to reserve the place. They have a library and a beauty shop, and a lot of activities. I got in the mail an itinerary of what they have this month. They have people and doctors come in and give lectures, and they have merchants come in and sell their stuff. I only associated with one person, and she was very nice. They gave us a meal and it was very good. The facility was clean."

"It is an excellent facility. The person we work with, Rick, was absolutely wonderful. The staff is very friendly and professional. The one bedroom was a little bit small but still very nice. We went to lunch with my mother and the food was excellent. They take them to their doctor's appointments. I know they have games throughout the day. "

"It was a nice facility. The staff during the tour was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were pretty nice, very accommodating, and adequate. Everything seemed to be in good order. There was an outdoor courtyard, a recreational space for families visiting, and a movie room. It's worth a visit to see what they offer."
