"I'm in Independence Village of Pella. The executive director is very involved and loving. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have her. She is awesome. She always ensures me to be happy and I am happy. She and the employees all look out for me. They love me and care about me. I have met many friends here that I enjoy eating meals with and also playing cards and just playing and visiting with them. I love my apartment. I have a large window there and I feed the birds and I can watch them eat and come to the feeders and they're just fun to watch. I love the community and I am glad that I am here. I had my husband with me and he was in memory care and then he passed away. So, my family chose for me to stay here and I'm very glad that this was the place that they had chosen because it's the next thing to being home. They keep us very busy doing things that we enjoy."

"We're currently living in the Newton Place Apartments. We have a two-bedroom, every apartment has a laundry room, and storage closets that are quite large, a pantry, a kitchen, and a large bathroom. Some apartments have handicap features, and some don't. There's a maintenance woman, a manager who's here two days a week, another woman who coordinates activities, and she's here three days a week. We have exercise activities, some art activities, and we celebrate birthdays during the month."

She enjoys some ladies that she's met. They have great activities. They take good care of my mom, so I'm happy that she found this place to be."

"Hearthstone, Pella was very clean. The staff was really good and engaging with the residents. They have what they call "The Cottages" and that's where my mother-in-law will stay. She will have a nice room there that is big enough to bring a few of her things from home. It's nice, organized, and the residents seemed happy. There's a very nice place that they can go outside and they have an area where they can do activities or just visit."
