"I liked Melody Living Independent Living. It was beautiful, extremely clean, very inviting, and very attractive. The people were awesome. The lunch I had there was very good. It was just a very easy place to be. I can definitely see myself living there. They have great security. They have call buttons in each of the apartments to check in first thing in the morning. It lets security know you are up and OK. You check in at night to let them know you're going to bed. I liked that. They have exercise programs, a nice area for games (like card games and board games), a pool, a really nice socializing areas with a firepit, a hot tub, an exercise room, and a lecture room. There is music once a week (piano, guitar, or whatever's available). They have spiritual services on Sundays with guest speakers each week. It was a very nice place."

"My mother is in assisted living at Winslow Court. The dining room is open for 12 hours a day, and they don’t have to adhere to certain hours. They can just go down and eat whenever they want at their convenience. They call in musicians and entertainers, and have games, movies, and outings. They have a bunch of activities over Christmas, like they had Santa come in and visit. "

"My 92 yr old father suddenly needed more attention than his current large assisted living had the staffing to provide. Luckily we found The Lodge at Palmer Point. It is a house with a maximum capacity of 8 residents. This combined with the competent and caring management/staff is the perfect fit for dad. He has his own spacious room and private bathroom plus the ability to interact with other residents and use the rest of the house if he wishes. We are very pleased with the choice of this smaller assisted living environment!"

"I liked Affinity at Colorado Springs. The seniors there were not as mature, and they were definitely people who get around easier. They had different rooms to have different things going on, and it was very nice. The apartment was small, but that is OK since I am downsizing anyway. It had a nice size kitchen, and I was really surprised. It is a one-bedroom, that is what I am looking at, and is on the second floor, and it has a little patio, and I thought, "That is OK, just a little patio. I don't need a lot because I am all by myself." I was just talking to the staff member too, and she wanted to verify that everything worked out fine. She was very informational and very patient. We walked around and showed us where the exit doors were per floor. She showed us one bedroom on the second floor, and one bedroom on the first floor, and she showed us where the exit was. If I move, instead of blocking the total entry door, then it's best to use that side door, and she showed us which one it was, and I thought that was very helpful. Little things like that, it's good. It has a lot of amenities, like it has WiFi and cable. I have access to two cable boxes, so I still have one in my bedroom and one in the living room. She was thorough and wrote down a couple of things because I was asking her how long that one wall was, and she said she was going to email me that. The place was very clean. We could see the two different card rooms and the craft rooms and the bar room where you can mix drinks, but because of COVID it is closed right now."

" I have been here 4 years and plan to stay as long as I remain independent. The people are friendly and activities are good fun. The management we have now is efficient and organized and takes care of things needing attention as fast as possible. This is the first apartment I have had that I call "my home.""

"It has very nice staff, it seems like they go over and above. It doesn't have the feel of a corporate type place in both assisted and independent living. The rooms are very clean, they have the main living quarters and a bedroom, refrigerator, and stove. They have access to washing machines and they're served a meal at lunch that's catered in. My loved one said that the food is really good. And a lot of the times there would be enough that they can put in in their refrigerator and reheat for dinner. They have bingo, cards, they have a bus for outings, they'll also take him to his doctor appointments and shopping. They have a full list of activities on a sheet so that they can review it. They also have a sheet that tells them what kind of food is coming up for the next catered meal. The quality of care here was very good."
