"It was a very nice, top-notch place that was very similar to all of the other places we visited. The common areas were clean and well lit. They offered the typical activities, like bingo, shopping trips, and exercise classes, that the others offered. They only had a studio available, and we wanted something a little larger for my dad. However, it was very nice and very clean. The people that showed us around were very friendly. The staff that we were introduced to was very accommodating and took an interest in my dad to heart. I feel that he would be in good hands."

"Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga was a very close second place to the facility we chose. It's a newer facility, but very well kept and appeared to be very nice. We visited Cadence a couple of times and the first time we were there, I was not pleased with the COVID restrictions I received there. The fear that I've had is putting my loved ones in a facility that decides to just run blindfolded into something they don't understand and prevent me from seeing my loved ones. I think that will be getting better, but that was something that we weighed on when we made our overall decision. The rooms were a little tighter than we would have preferred for two people, but they were very nice. The facility itself was very nice as well. The food was very good. We dealt with Terrie, and I was very impressed with her. She was extremely nice, answered all of our questions, and did a phenomenal job. She was great. Their activities and outdoor area were very good. They did not have the swimming pool, but they had everything else that we were interested in. They had a very nice theater room where they could gather and watch movies and things like that. The craft area was nice. They had a schedule laid out with all the activities and things well in advance so they could make plans to be there. We were impressed with Cadence, the staff, the facility, and the food. I think they had the best food we were able to try in any of the facilities we went to."

"My mom is in Atria Del Rey. We've both been very pleased with their care and especially lately she's fallen a couple times; they tend to spend extra time with her and doing different things now that she hurt her arm and all that stuff. They've been very, very helpful. Her room is OK. None of these places are cheap, so of course I always would think maybe we'd like a little bit bigger room, but this one's fine, and she has everything she needs there in her room, so it's fine. Things are so different right now because of the COVID going on. The residents don't get to sit together for meals or anything. They have to eat in their rooms, so that's a big change, but they are very diligent with everything they're doing, trying to keep everyone healthy, and I think they've done a real good job. That's just been the hard part for her. My mom didn't want to move in there in the first place so it has nothing to do with them or the place. She likes everybody there. She's very happy with everybody there. She still thinks that she could live alone by herself, which she hasn't come to the realization that she can't. There's quite a few things they do. Again, before COVID happened they had a lot of activities. They have a large room with a television that they show movies in all the time; it's nice. They did a lot of activities during the day. Now, with COVID, that's really stopped a lot of that. They've come up with some other ideas where they go to each resident's room and they play little games or whatever with them, and then they move onto the next person. They try to keep them active a little bit as much as they can, but because of the virus they do have to stay in quarantine. That really put a damper on a lot of things that we used to do. I've been very happy with everything that they have done. After my mom fell these last couple of times they have really stepped up and helped with the wounds and those types of things. They do have that staff on hand too, which is really nice to know 'cause I can't go in there, because of the COVID they won't let anybody in, and I think all the places are that way. We ate the food in the very beginning, in the first couple of months, and my husband and I went there a few times. Some of the other family members went 'cause they have a really, really nice, pretty dining room, but now we can't do that. But at the time we went several times and the food was very good. The facility is lovely and very, very pretty inside and very clean looking. I'd say they do a lot. They keep it looking really good. I didn't really see that much, but from what I've heard they have different levels of activities depending on the person's capabilities, because they do have some residents there that are not as coordinated because of their age, illness, or whatever. They kinda have several different things to match up with their abilities."

"I did a tour of Holiday Valencia Commons. The layout of it was really nice. When you come in, there's a central area. You can see the dining room and the library. It's open, and everything feeds into the center area. The rooms are extremely nice. I was just very happy with the cleanliness and the friendliness."

"I am fairly new here, and I just want to say how much I love being here and appreciate everything they do. Especially, the servers in the dining room. It has been so hard during this time of Covid, but it's nice to have everyone here to care about me and be here for me."

"My husband was at Westmont Village for respite. It was very good. He said it was like being on a cruise ship. There were people he met. There were lots of activities. They personally were keeping up and taking care of him, checking to see if he needed things and stuff. His room was very nice sized. It had everything he needed there. The food was good and had a lot of variety. The staff was very courteous and nice. I know they had bingo, Mexican dominoes, art classes, exercise classes, movies, and different bible study groups. I know they had a luau while he was there one night. They had lots of different things to participate in. They had a library where he could go read the paper and stuff every day."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"Park Terrace is extremely clean and it smells good. My mother has been there for about 6 weeks now. The staff is great. She's been extremely happy with them. She cannot move from place to place herself, so they have to transport her down to meals and to activities in a wheelchair. They're kind, nice, and they come in and take her when she needs to go down. She also needs help with bathing. Mom finds it to be a very pleasant experience and certainly much better than she expected. The rooms are extremely spacious. She's in a complete 1-bedroom with bath and huge closet. The showers are big enough to get a large bathing chair in. She has balcony that overlooks the courtyard and the pool. Her living room is very spacious, too. We were able to get a large reclining chair, a dinette table with 3 chairs, a chest for putting a TV on, a couple of other chest that she wanted to take with her, and a sofa. At this moment, I have no problems. The food is unbelievably good and she's enjoying it. "

"West Park Senior Living is a nice facility. I toured for independent living, and when I got there, I noticed how big the apartments and the building were. The rooms I looked at, which the lady showed me on the sixth and seventh floors, were just too high up for me, and I don't want to be that high in any building. The apartment itself and the whole facility were nice. I like the availability of the dining room and the activity room. There's also landscaping where you could sit outside, which I like. The place looked very clean. In the apartment that we looked at, someone had moved out, so they were in the process of redoing it. I noticed some things that they would have had to repair or paint over when they finished cleaning the apartment. Other than that, it was a nice facility. The person who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."

"We visited the Park Plaza assisted living facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area. The outside area was very nicely maintained and nice seating areas. The grounds outside offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. We could see that there is also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The main greeting room was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. Throughout the facility, all of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The facility seemed to be able to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture and appeared to be nicely personalized. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. Seniors can use the exercise room at any time and also go on daily walks. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered. The residents go on trips to visit the many region's art galleries and museums, eat at casual and fine restaurants and enjoy the many other cultural events offered. The residents here looked very content and were well cared for by kind and considerate staff in this living environment. "
