While visiting my sister, I was extremely impressed with the friendliness, kindness and caring shown by all of the employees. From the aids, maintenance people, therapists, kitchen and laundry staff, nurses, administration, everyone was sincere and welcoming.

The staff goes above and beyond for their residents and their families! They are caring with excellent communication. Our mother was well taken care of and we are very appreciative! Thank you for everything.

My mom was in Walker Nursing Home located in Virginia, Illinois. I was very pleased with the nursing home itself and the staff. They were very caring, very attentive, and if I had a question, they were quick to answer. If something happened, they were quick to call me and let me know what was going on with her. They were very good. For activities, I know that they have bingo, adult coloring, and church services. They had something pretty much every week then they had other smaller stuff like the coloring that you could do pretty much any time you want. I know the person that did all the activities and stuff, and she was nice. My mom liked her but I don't think she can remember her name. If her insurance would have covered longer, it would have been great but she wasn't able to be in there very long because her insurance wouldn't cover it. It's kind of a sticky situation. For the length of time, she was there though, which wasn't long since they only paid for a total of 8 days, I would say the value is good.
