I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad has been there since July 2023, I was hopeful when he arrived, in the beginning calls were not being returned, I would ask a nurse or CNA a question they would refer me to the social worker, which I learned some of the things I needed wasn't her responsibility. I clean, my dad's room every time I visit, I take my own chair to sit in his room with him. My dad's clothes have been misplaced, the laundry lady had a very nasty attitude when asked about his missing clothes. I finally reached and pressed every ext and spoke to Mr. Fred in September 2023.He put the ball in motion. After speaking with him, i went on September 23, to visit my dad, I was livid due to my dad having on a pair of ladies' jeans and someone else's shirt. I filed a complaint. Mr. Fred reached out to me regarding my complaint, I didn't feel any empathy at the time and I felt attacked. I went in to take my dad to his oncologist appt and met with Mr. Fred and Ms. Butler, He shared with me I should have reached out to him, he didn't understand my issues. i explained them best I could, I was crying and upset regarding my dad health declining. I feel better about the communication now but before I begin communicating with him I wasn't receiving calls back, I requested a meeting with staff, Sydney was suppose to set that up it never happened, business manger never reached out to me. Ms. Butler email BOM asking her to reach out. She didn't and still hasn't. My goal is to get my father moved closer to me in the metro ATL so I wont have to drive so far to visit him. My fist review was a 1 star I am giving them a 3 star today because, they are trying to help me find a facility in my area. The communication and response time is extremely better. If you have a love one in this facility please talk to Mr. Fred, he will try to help. Sarah, Jennifer, Niki are helpful nurses. They always had a smile.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

.The only negative thing I do have to say is they was bad about getting him out of bed. Everytime we went he was always in bed. But the staff and nurses was so careing and good hearted. The night we lost him everyone was crying. They grew to him like family. And I never seen a nursing home like that. They also try to get all the residents to become family as well. They was really good about giving him his showers and cutting his hair and just keeping him groomed. They also called his his brother (since that was all he had left) everytime he fell or even got a little scratch with was really good. We never had to go there wondering where all these brusies come from. They let us know asap when he was doing well. And there acually is one more negitave and its minor. They get everyones clothes mixed up. Mema would buy him socks and everytime we go over there he would only have 1 pair out of the whole pack she just bought. But other than that I think is safe to say that they all enjoyed this faculty. Not only did they treat him like family they did us as well.
