"We went to Risen Son Christian Village. Being independent, it was a little bit more out of the way than what we're accustomed to. What we're accustomed to would be more of a downtown area. The facility itself was very nice, very well-kept, and very clean. The rooms were all very nice and roomy for two people who wanted to downsize a little bit. From what we were coming through, it would have worked out well. The people that we met were really nice and very cordial."

"I toured Azria Health Longview. It seemed to be nice and clean. Everything looked really good. The rooms were very nice. They seemed to be good, functional and stuff, so they should be fine. The staff was very helpful. They had a lot of information, so it worked out well. However, I had never seen any activities. There was only one or two residents, and they were just watching television and stuff. For amenities, they had a little room where I supposed they gather and do games or something, but there wasn't anyone there right then."

"We chose Immanuel Terrace because I knew someone who lived there who really liked the facility. When I came to visit, their room sizes were much bigger than the other places that I looked. They also had one fee, and they didn’t have an add on for every little thing that they did. "

"My mom is at Elk Ridge Village. It seems to be working out really good for her needs. She is in assisted living, and it is working out better than I thought it would. She seems to like the food. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It seems like everyday they have something going on for activities. The staff is very nice. The grounds are maintained very nicely. My mom likes to go out and sit outside on a bench. "

"I'm going to go to Pacific Springs Village. I like it because it isn't real big and the rooms felt good. They do laundry, there's three meals a day, and transportation. They have a beauty parlor, a library, and a chapel. The cookies I had were excellent. It's a relatively new facility."

"My mom has been at the Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages several times and had to stay at the rehab facility, but that whole complex is great. Affordability is a little bit of an issue. It is higher priced, but what they have, what they offer and the services they do are great. The best thing about it was the care and the service that she received from the folks that were there. My mom was very comfortable in that environment. She was really happy with the food. It was all pretty much home-cooked meals and she was happy. They had a complete rehab area. They had what you'd call a gym area, where they worked with everybody. They had steps in there. They helped them up and down. I'm leaning more on the rehab. I'm not worried about the amenities side of it in all honesty. In terms of location, it was good. It wasn't far. It's right up the road from Bellevue Hospital, and there are plenty of places to eat around there."
