"My mother is in EverTrue Meramec Bluffs in Ballwin. She was in independent living for 10 years, and I would say the facility is set up to take you through your whole end of life. They have townhomes and apartments. It's a whole community set up that way and not just a nursing home for the end of life. It's a large community with a chapel, as it's a faith-driven community. She shares space with one other patient, but they have separate rooms and a shared bathroom, so they don't see each other and have their own personal and private space. I think they take very good care of the facility. Somebody comes and cleans her room every day, and the nursing staff is right outside her door. There are only 18 rooms to a wing, with some of them singles and some doubles. I think she enjoyed the food. They had activities every single day, ranging from bingo a couple of times a week to music programs to art projects. They had outings where they could take residents from assisted living or independent living a couple of times a month, so they offered activities outside of the community as well, going out to restaurants, movies, and concerts. They provide transportation if a friend passes away and a funeral is at another church, for instance. They provide vans to take people to the funerals."

David, who accommodated me, was excellent. He was very thorough. He answered all my questions. He provided me with everything I needed. He gave me a complete package, took me all around, and showed me every aspect of the place. The food was good, too. It was well prepared and tasted good. They covered all the bases in terms of activities. They had entertainment spots. They had a happy hour. They had a movie theater. They had a recreational area and a card room. They had a workout space. They had classes for people who needed physical therapy. They had a swimming pool. They have a beautiful outdoor garden, which is the thing that swayed me the most. There are two small ponds and a walkway that goes all around it with lots of beautiful plantings. The thing I liked about it is that it has lots of benches where you could sit outside in the sunlight."
