"My mom is at Riverbend Heights Health & Rehabilitation Center. The staff does a good job and we had no problem with the move-in process. It's adequate, but it's just outdated. They have outdoor areas like a patio, and some activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, and some others. The monthly rate is expensive for me, but it's probably average for what you would have to pay."

"My sister-in-law was a resident of Essex of Concordia. It was excellent, and what I liked most was that the new admin came in about 2 or 3 months ago. He's very good. He's precise about everything. Before that, they had another guy with whom my sister-in-law was with most of the time. He was very good. The personalities were different, but they both did a good job. We had no problems with them. It was just that the last admin decided they couldn't help her anymore because she needed more help than they could give. One of the nicest things about Essex was that it was small and not as expensive as most of these places I'm finding out. From what I have seen there, the staff has always been very, very helpful with my sister-in-law, but they were low on staff. As for the activities, they come and go. It's not a happy place or anything like that. It needs a little more warmth or something to make it look bright."
