"Piper Shores is a beautiful, top-notch place. It's right on the ocean, in the middle of nowhere. But it's about half an hour from Portland and in a rural setting. They have a pool, a garden area, and they have a fitness center. They also have shuttle bus if you want to go to town. The staff is very friendly and everything seems to be very well done. Although I think it's a bit isolated for me. But my husband loves it. "

"We visited The Cedars (Osher Inn). It was very nice. The cleanliness and maintenance was better than average. The staff was very nice. They were accommodating, showed us rooms, and gave us a list of their activities. I know they play cards, bingo, and that sort of thing. The food at The Cedars was very good. We had lunch there. The dining looked fine. The trouble with them for us is they’re in the far side of Portland. "

"I have been to RiverWoods Durham, and what I liked best was the vibrancy of it. There's a whole different clientele there, it seems there's a large level of very independent people. And it was just very vibrant and very active because of the population that they serve. I tried the food there, and it was delicious. The dining area was beautiful, there were lots of different choices of places to sit, and it was bright and open. The staff couldn't have been more responsive. They had a little walking trail, and they had outdoor access, though not a lot but they had some. Everyone was wonderful, and my dad's still trying to get on the waiting list to get in there. I saw a lot of their facilities, and it was remarkable, and they offered terrific services there. It was a different atmosphere than the other place we toured, and it was a more independent group of people who were there."
