"My parents lived in St. James for quite a few years, my dad is still there. The place is pretty ideal for where to live in retirement, very good facility with many opportunities for a pleasant life. The best thing about it is the staff, they really make a effort and take good care of you based on the level of care. I notice one reviewer said otherwise and I have to say I was very surprised by that, I'm sorry if there was a bad experience for them but it may not have been anyone's fault. In Assisted Living they check in with my dad numerous times every single day to make sure he is well and whether he needs anything. In Independent Living, that is not the level of care that is expected, they give you more space unless you request help. "
