"My great grandmother loved it there. She had her own room with a small fridge and her own bathroom. She was able to decorate it as she saw fit. She was able to keep much of her independence while still getting the care she needed when she needed it. She made new friends and participated in the activities, which were many and varied. She kept in shape by walking a mile a day on the floors of the facility. The staff were very courteous and always attentive to the needs of the residents as well as the visitors. I would recommend this facility to anyone with a relative that needs to live in an environment with independence as well as assistance when need be. "

"My grandmother lived in an assisted living facility. She enjoyed living there. The facility was set up like a hotel. There were many floors, perhaps more than six or seven. Each resident had their own apartment. Each apartment door opened up an inside hallway much like a hotel. On the first floor was a cafeteria that reminded me of a restaurant style cafeteria. Although my grandmother enjoyed spending much of her time alone, the facility was known to hold many activities for the residents to attend if they wanted. Even though this was a facility for more elderly people, when visiting in my grandmother's apartment I never felt like it was anything more than simply her independent apartment in what felt like an apartment complex. I'm hoping she felt the same as well. "

"The atrium at Lafreniere is an excellent, very well kept, and spacious facility. It looks like a nice place to live. The rooms looks like nice apartments. They take the residents for rides into the city and they have broadway productions on video tapes. That sounds interesting. The staff is very courteous and very helpful. They spent an ample amount of time with us. "

"I don't know how to begin this but by saying excellent. The service and care that the staff provided for my sister was huge! The staff called me and gave me updates on my sister and gave her so much warmth. The faciality called me during Hurricane Ida with daily updates telling they had Food, Water & Power -- plenty of air conditioning. I never needed to worry. If you need help they are a great people to have along with you. St Catherine's provided hospice there for my sister and made her very comfortable. In her final hours even in the middle of the night they called to inform me that it was getting close to the end. I went and they comforted me as well. I held my big sisters hand to her last breath, I love her so much. It pains me that i lost her. But, she is in a better place. "My grandmother has experienced both independent and dependent living. It is definitely a transition going from living on your own in your home to living in an assisted living space then to dependent but the staff and family support really helps! There is a lot to do and the apartments are really beautiful. While there are differences in the units that are dependent vs the ones that are independent, I was surprised to see how similar they are and how much space there is. Outside of no longer having a stove or dishwasher, the units are very similar to a standard apartment. There is a communal activity room that has a larger kitchen where residents can do cooking classes, as well as really good food available in the dining room or delivered to your room. Staff also will help with cleaning any dishes you may have made during the day. While no one wants to lose their independence, dependent living at Lambeth feels like a good combination of having your independence with extra hands! "
