As family member of a resident at the Long Term Care in Springfield, Colorado, I was deeply impressed with the quality of care. The facility is in a small community and is highly family oriented. Most of the staff working there also has kin as residents so my family member was treated just like family. During the two years that my family member resided there, she also started to feel a strong bond with the nurses and aides and treated them as her own kids. The staff in the kitchen also went above and beyond in order to make requested meals from my family member. She often had odd requests that the kitchen was happy to oblige.During her stay there she never had one complaint about her care (which was rather remarkable if you knew her). And up until her passing she was treated with respect and dignity and was made to feel at home.
