Welcome to Del Mesa Carmel Community Association! Del Mesa Carmel is independent living at its best, with on-site fine dining, a fitness center with indoor swimming pool and spa, exercise classes, a workshop for arts and crafts, garden plots, and a USLBA lawn bowling club. A variety of resident committees and clubs host educational speakers, first-rate movies, art exhibits and films, as well as casual gatherings and community-wide parties. ​ While Del Mesa Carmel feels secluded among the trees, it is close to The Crossroads and other shopping centers, including supermarkets and drug stores, and nearby doctors, dentists, hospital, restaurants, banks, service stations, theatres and specialty shops. ​ Within a five-mile radius are historic sites, golf courses, and recreational activities. Charming Carmel-by-the-Sea is famous for its art studios, galleries, restaurants and shops. Historic Monterey was California’s first capital and the site of the famous Cannery Row which now houses the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium with its unique sea otter rescue program. Beauty abounds along the famous 17-Mile Drive and at Pebble Beach, as well in historic Pacific Grove with its Lovers’ Point Park. Whale watching is a favorite pastime and can be enjoyed while walking on Carmel Beach, along Monterey Bay, or the coast-line trails of nearby Point Lobos Park.
