I have a friend at Talladega Healthcare Center and was able to visit the place. He shares a room with another man, which is OK because he doesn’t stay in his room. He stays at the nurse's station all day. If a person is bedridden, I don’t think they should put her in a wheelchair that opens out like a recliner and sit her in the hall for people to stare at her. I think they should keep her in a room and make her as comfortable as possible. I saw that happen with my own eyes while I visited.

The workers were very friendly. It was always clean (especially the floors). I always felt that I was safe every time I visited. The nurses were very friendly. At times they seemed to be understaffed, but you could never tell because of the way the nurses and nursing assistants helped out. Our questions were always answered in a timely manner. The Certified Nursing Assistants were always very helpful especially when we came to visit. They seemed eager to help. The quality of care given was awesome. I have visited other nursing homes where the quality of care did not even compare to the care here. I would have to say this is the best nursing home I have visited considering my experiences with others. Most of all the facility looked clean on the outside. You can tell a lot about a place from how it looks on the outside. I would rate my experience as excellent.
