The staff members at the Citronelle Convalescent Center were very professional. They made sure my friend had everything she needed. Once a nurse even asked if there was anything that she could get me. Because my friend was near the end of her battle, the nurses (and her doctor) allowed her to have chocolate milk and mini snickers bars, her favorite, almost every day. They also respected her wish for them not to hold the milk carton for her, so that she may retain her dignity. The only problem that I had was there was another elderly woman in my friend's room who constantly aggravated her. Frequently, the woman would stare at my friend and make noises to annoy her. The nurses suggested that I pull the curtain to block the other woman's view of my friend. However, this woman would still try to annoy my friend and interrupt my visits with her, perhaps out of jealousy. However, the facility and its staff are great overall. Also, the facility appeared spotless every time I visited. Unfortunately, I was out of town when my friend passed, but I take comfort in knowing that she was in really good hands.
