I moved to Villa Maria I senior apartments. It's very pleasant, well-kept, and has a lot of benefits and amenities. The staff is efficient, courteous, friendly, and committed to excellence. We have a food pantry, but we have kitchens in our apartment, too, so there's no dining room here. My room is very comfortable. It was very clean and completely refurbished when I moved in. It has a new refrigerator and stove. It has a large bathroom, enough for my wheelchair, and safety features in the bathroom with handlebars. They have bingo and health seminars with medical people and insurance people coming in. There's been a cookout, I think, for Memorial Day. We even had a Juneteenth Celebration. I don't participate in a lot of them, but there are a lot of activities available. They notify us of stuff that's going on and that is going to happen by the bulletin board and notices on the door.

Villa Maria Manor was a very nice place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They answered all kinds of questions. We liked the facilities and the layout of the place. They have the seniors program, the recreation room, and the dining room. They have a laundry facility and beautiful grounds. We were very pleased with it. The apartments were nice. They had the walk-in shower, so that was very accommodating. That would help to meet my husband's needs tremendously. It was an individual tour. They didn't have an available apartment, even though my husband got to see an apartment because he happened to run into someone he knew who lived there. We felt welcome.
