My Father has lung cancer. He's opted out of all treatment and decided that quality of life was more important than quantity, so he was admitted to hospice right away. I can't say enough about the care and attention he's gotten thus far. He loves his nurses, Dr. Shefeling has been beyond amazing, and the Director at Lakeview Home Health and Hospice flew straight down from Heaven, I swear. He is still well, 6 months post diagnosis, and I hope he continues to get the same great care that he's already gotten, once the end is near, when we need it most. Thank you, all of you, for all that you do!

If I could, I would give this hospice zero stars!! My 48 yr old husband was in this program less than 3 weeks, and I had to file 2 complaints in that time (which were never followed up on until after he died). Then, on the night of his death, the on-call hospice nurse (his primary hospice nurse even) didn't come to our home, but kept me on the phone for 1.5 hrs having ME do her job! I couldn't even hold him as he died, as I was busy trying to do her job because she chose to remain at home (in bed, I assume), had no clue just how bad it was. At some point in that 1.5 hrs, I asked her if this was the end, and she said, "If I had to guess, I'd say he has about another week." He didn't even have another hour! He died like a fish out of water, couldn't breathe, panting heavily trying to get air, and she couldn't be bothered to actually come to our home to assess his condition. And I understand this wasn't the only patient who suffered for her on that weekend! I would not recommend this facility/provider to my worst enemy!

My wife and I needed a hospice care program for her terminal cancer. They gave us the care and help needed to stay at home though the end. They met my wife's and my needs and provide everything. All the staff were knowledgable and friendly. Very good volunteers to help give me the time to go to work. I would recommend them to anyone needing Hospice care.
