We hired Hospice of Natchitoches for my mom. They were very professional. They prepared us upfront. They told us what the expectations were and things for us to consider to help us go through the grieving process. There was no cost to the family. They had a nurse that would come in and check her every day. They checked her vitals and talked to her to see how she was doing. They made sure that she got what she needed in the facility where she was. For instance, if her oxygen level was low, they made sure that the oxygen containers were at the right level and made sure she got her meals and her medications, and that she was comfortable.
