"We have been with Right at Home for several years. The office staff is kind and professional. They respond and communicate regularly. Shana has been our regular caregiver. She os great! She was instructive, professional and to the point. Not only does she provide wonderful care to Mom, but to me, her daughter. Especially when she started. I was a helicopter caregiving daughter. Her direction and encouragement helped me be a healthier towards her, too. I still learn from her. She showers her, feeds and does light housework. BTW, she also prepares food to look good and tastes delicious, is quick with domestic work, and is a pleasant member of this household. Mom's dementia is advancing, but she remembers Shana every time Shana enters the house. It is reassuring to have such goodness in our family. Mom is now 94 and that happens with an atmosphere of peace and joy. Thanks RAH!"

"Home Helpers were local and they went through our local chamber of commerce so I felt comfortable with them. A head person came and met with me and my mom first. They talked over everything, and then the second time when she came, she brought a caregiver with her and spent about an hour with my mom and they started from there. The caregivers are fine. They drive her to and from the local stores or pharmacy. They help her do laundry, housework, make her bed, and take her to doctor’s appointments. The only problem I have is that they called us a few times where they didn’t have anybody to come out because somebody was sick and since she started, they’ve had 3 different people come which I’m not too crazy about. "

"As a working man, I am so grateful for the girl who cares for my mom. Her companion Sabrina is very good and I can rest easy when I know she is there. Mom loves Sabrina's cooking and their trips to the grocery store. The owner is truly one of a kind also. She is very caring, and always calls to check on mom and find out how her care is going. "FirstLight is providing personal care for my husband. They assist in utilizing personal things in the house and helping him get out and things like that. The caregiver is very kind and listens to instructions well. The caregivers have always been present. During the first week, they had to try out 2 or 3 people to find out which one would be best with my husband. The communication with the agency has been very good. They were also very good in making sure that all my questions are answered and setting up meetings in a timely manner."

"I used BrightStar, and I was happy with them to a degree. However, the cost was expensive and the minimum number of hours that we had to have is not necessarily what my in-laws needed, and so I was forced to turn to private duty care, which is a struggle for families to try and find. They were more caring than they were knowledgeable. They were very caring -- which was a good thing -- but short on training. They needed to be better trained. It was sufficient, but it could have been better as far as training goes. "

"We used We Are Family Home Care for my mom in the past. Their representative came out and we listened to her presentation about the agency; we liked her personality. So that's why we hired them. They didn't have the right caregiver for my mother. We got the schedule that we requested and we had someone available for the schedule, but as far as the replacement for the caregiver that wasn't right for my mom, they didn't have anybody available. So we had to go with another agency. They provide homecare and light housekeeping, although the person that we got didn't do any light housekeeping."

"The hospice nurse recommended Need a Helping Hand. They provided assistance with feeding, bathing, and changing; just the normal things. They would cook if you need them to cook. They were very professional and very friendly. Their scheduling was excellent because I brought Mom home from the hospital on Friday, and they had somebody there that evening for me. I was very happy with them."
