I am my mother's care-giver and the doctors recommended her to use ala care for in home care after she had a hip replacement. The nurse comes once a week and takes her blood pressure and temp and asks her how she doing and that's it. If I have took my mom to the doctor, ala care will question you to death about what the doctor said and ask if she has had any medication change. They will tell you if she gets sick to call them and they will come check her, but all they do is check blood pressure and temp and ask how you feel. Then they will say well I think you need to take her to the doctor. I thought they came so I would not have to take her to the doctor so much. I did not need anyone to tell me I needed to take her to the doctor, but that is all they do. If I had known this I would never encouraged my mother to let them come. Seems to me they are just another bill that is really un-necessary. I also thought they would send the same one out every week but no a different one each week, they do not have time to get to know my mother and what works best for her. Each week same ole thing different person asking same questions. I would not recommend them to anyone they do nothing.

I have been pleased with the quality care that mother has received. They have a genuine concern for her. They have told me I could call them at anytime. I have called on weekends when trying to figure out what to do in a given situation. Thanks so much to this wonderful group of caring people.
