Caring.com Announces New CFO to Support Rapid Strategic Growth

With Current VP of Finance Retiring, Caring.com Has Hired Lia Burke, Seasoned Technology and Finance Executive to Take Leadership Role

San Mateo, CA; June 26, 2018 — Caring.com, a leading senior care referral service, is pleased to announce the addition of seasoned technology and finance executive, Lia Burke, to its management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

With her significant experience leading technology businesses through periods of rapid strategic growth and/or transitioning through mergers and acquisitions, Lia’s appointment will support Caring as it continues to expand its business under the new ownership of Caring Holdings LLC.

“Lia has a demonstrated track record of helping technology companies address complex financial matters, enhance stakeholder value, maintain healthy vendor/partner relationships, and optimize organizational expansion,” says Caring’s CEO, Karen Cassel. “Her experience and expertise fits well with our current industry position and financial health, and we’re thrilled to welcome such a world-class executive to our team.”

Over the last three decades, Ms. Burke has held financial leadership and consultant positions at well-known Silicon Valley and finance firms, including serving as CFO at RadiumOne Inc. prior to joining Caring.com. There, she helped the company raise debt and equity financing, managed rapid employee expansion, and supported the establishment of new subsidiaries across Europe and Asia. She’s also previously held positions at Oracle Corporation, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (with honors in Accounting) at the University College Cork, a 5-star award-winning university in Ireland.

“Under Karen's direction, the leadership team have positioned Caring to achieve rapid growth over the next several years, and I am really excited to be part of this journey. I know my prior experience growing and scaling fast-paced technology companies will help this progression,” Ms. Burke said.
