Online Reviews from Seniors and Their Families Reveal Which Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, and Nursing Homes Are Top-Rated for Excellence in Senior Living and Care

Caring Stars 2023 includes 330 senior living communities in 39 states, with California, Texas, and Florida having the most winners (62, 30, and 27, respectively). These communities and care homes had an overall average rating of 4.5 stars or higher, and public-facing business responses to any 1-star or 2-star negative reviews. They also had to meet specific criteria for review volume and recency, and have at least one 5-star published review in 2022.
