Best for High-End Design
Signia offers groundbreaking technology and fashion-forward style to hearing aid users. Its Nx line boasts some of the smallest hearing aids available, including tiny behind-the-ear devices — a style that is typically somewhat bulky — and in-the-canal devices that are all but invisible. Signia shoppers also have more color choices than those offered by other brands, and its Motion 13 Nx hearing aid is available in twelve colors with the option to change the housing at any time for a new color.
Signia provides a long list of proprietary sound and noise management programs that make its hearing aid models more capable than devices from many other brands, delivering clearer and more directionally sophisticated sound. In fact, its Nx line of hearing aids provides the most natural sound of one’s own voice as well as enhanced understanding of speech even in noisy and complicated surroundings. For these many reasons, we have included Signia’s Nx hearing aids among our top picks for the best hearing aids of 2022.
Read on to learn more about Signia’s Nx hearing aids, as well as compatible apps and accessories. Note that while other Signia hearing aid models are not included in this guide, information about these additional options can be found on the Signia website.

They are also ideal for technology users as they are Bluetooth-enabled and compatible with StreamLine Mic and StreamLine TV accessories, allowing them to connect to smartphones, TVs, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Insio Nx IlC/CIC
Also a part of the Insio Nx family of hearing aids, the Insio Nx llC and CIC styles vary somewhat from the ITC and ITE styles we already mentioned. These hearing aids fit further in the ear and are nearly to fully invisible from the outside, making them exceptionally cosmetically appealing to customers. Further, the CIC style is unique as the world’s first completely-in-the-canal hearing aid fitted with directional microphones. However, both of these styles lack Bluetooth connectivity and therefore cannot pair with Bluetooth devices. They can, however, still be used with the miniPocket accessory, which functions as a small remote control, and the Signia App for remote adjustments and ongoing hearing aid support.

Buying Hearing Aids from Signia
Signia offers an optional and free online hearing test to determine whether or not you have hearing loss. This should be taken with headphones or AirPods in a quiet environment to ensure the test is accurate. If hearing loss is found, you will be informed of this upon completing the test.
Potential customers interested in consulting with a professional and trying Signia hearing aids can also begin this process online. Simply enter the required personal information into this form provided on the Signia website. After submitting the form, a hearing care professional located nearby will get in contact with you and assist you with beginning a no-obligation trial of a Signia hearing device.
Signia also provides potential customers with an online search engine so they can view all local hearing aid shops that carry its products. Once one is selected, individuals can request an appointment. Signia offers advanced technology to assist professionals with fitting its devices so the process is both accurate and efficient. The company also has convenient options for ongoing care once customers’ hearing devices are properly fit and customized.
Telecare, a part of the free downloadable Signia app, allows hearing care professionals to remain in contact with customers through chat, voice, or video calls. In addition to this, it also enables them to provide remote hearing aid adjustments. In this way, customers will continue to receive the care they need for their Signia hearing aids at their convenience.
Signia Mobile App and Accessories
Signia App
This app combines different features from previous Signia apps into one mobile application and is compatible with almost every Signia hearing aid as well as many Android and iPhone devices. With the Signia app, hearing aid wearers can stream calls from their smartphones to their hearing aids, customize audio volume and other settings, access remote support and adjustments from hearing care professionals, and even track their daily steps, activity levels, and social interactions.
Signia Accessories
StreamLine Mic
This accessory uses voice commands to stream sound from any device via Bluetooth directly to Signia Nx hearing instruments. Hearing aid wearers can also use the StreamLine Mic to make and receive phone calls. When in crowded environments, it acts as a microphone so that wearers can hear someone within 65 feet of them more clearly.
StreamLine TV
Signia hearing aid wearers can use StreamLine TV to listen to their favorite television programs in their hearing instruments without disturbing anyone nearby. StreamLine TV can also stream audio to multiple pairs of hearing aids simultaneously, so several hearing aid wearers can enjoy programming at the same time. Users will also be able to start or pause the TV audio streaming as well as adjust audio volume with the Signia app, which allows their phones to function as a remote control.
miniPocket Remote Control
Signia’s miniPocket remote control is great for those who prefer to control their hearing aids without a smartphone or larger standard sized remote. It is easy to use and small enough to carry on a keychain, also making it unlikely to get lost or misplaced. Though compact, this remote control has sufficient power to control several hearing aid features.
Chargers
Signia offers different charging solutions depending on the hearing device an individual wears. None of the Nx line of hearing aids are rechargeable; however, Signia does provide several chargers for its other models, from small portable charging cases that can fit in your pocket, to cordless charging options, to chargers that also clean and dry your hearing devices.
EarWear 3.0
While not compatible with Nx hearing aids, EarWear 3.0 can be used with select Signia AX and Signia X devices. EarWear 3.0 includes mini receivers, tubes, eartips, and sleeves that are specifically designed for improved hearing aid comfort and that enhance hearing aid fit and appearance. In fact, these pieces allow users to successfully wear small and more discreet hearing devices.
Wireless Programming Accessories
The Noahlink Wireless is a wireless programming system for hearing aids that are fitted with a Bluetooth connection. Wireless programming is also possible using Signia’s ConnexxAir, compatible with Signia hearing aids that have e2e wireless technology.
Signia Hearing Aid Warranties and Repairs
Signia offers two- to three-year manufacturer’s warranties on its 7x and 5x technology levels for the Nx hearing aids listed above. Some 3x-level models may receive one year less of coverage. Warranties cover loss and damage claims. Retailers may also offer additional warranty coverage or a fee-based warranty extension.
Local hearing care professionals should be able to perform repairs to your Signia devices; however, they will contact Signia to confirm coverage and get approval. Be aware that though Signia may not have fees for covered devices, hearing care professionals can charge for certain services while completing repairs.
