My father was in Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They're very professional and they're compassionate with their people. The facility itself was really clean and well-kept. The staff stayed informed. They kept up with my father, what he needed and they made sure everything he needed that he had and everything like that. The food was fine. It was good. The facility was very clean. They kept it up well. They take the residents out of places. They take them shopping. They can go out to eat. They take them out to sports events and things like that. The atmosphere is upbeat, it's nice, and it's not dreary.

My mother moved into Ohio Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It's been fine so far. She's in 14-day quarantine, but the move in was smooth, and helping me get the Medicaid set up was very helpful, I couldn't have done it without them. Dropping things off for her and communication on the phone has been really good. Her apartment is beautiful. I got to go in, decorate it, and set everything up for her, buy her things, and when she moved in, I got to go in and show her where everything was, what we bought, and what was hers. The staff is friendly, nice, and very, very helpful. If they say they're gonna do something, they've done it every single time, they're very easy to work with, flexible with their schedule, like when I could come and set up her apartment, or when she could move in. It was a smooth transition. She loves the food.

I visited Ohio Valley Manor for my clinicals during my training to become a State Tested Nurses Aid and the care that was given was very poor, and there were too few employees to take care of the amount of patients residing there. Just in the 3 days I was there, there were multiple times that a classmate and our instructor reported employees for neglecting residents.

The staff of Ohio Valley Manor made the end-of-life care of my family member comfortable for me. These people care, and I mean it.
