"My mother is on the waiting list for Marian Manor of Stafford. It's all in one facility there. Everything was really nice there; we liked it a lot. The rooms were also nice and clean, and the staff member who gave me the tour was very informative. The dining area was fine, although we haven't tried the food. When we were there they weren't doing activities, but they were having lunch. We chose this community because the person we met with told us how they care for the resident each day. They have a routine schedule which we liked the best."

"I visited the memory care facility of Viva Senior Living at Stafford. One of the things I liked most was the residents, because they were so welcoming. The person who gave the tour was top-notch. She was very knowledgeable about her facility, and she knew people by their names. I observed her talking to a patient who had memory issues, and the patient was really disgruntled by the nurse, but she resolved everything within a matter of three minutes and calmed the resident down. It was refreshing. I would have picked that place. I knew my mom would have been in good hands. I would definitely give it the highest score from the overall look, the cleanliness, and the awareness of the staff with their residents. I didn't taste the food, but the menu looked very good. The place did need updating. They lock everything down at a certain time. They said that even though my mom would be in her apartment, the way it's set up, she will still remember where her apartment is. If she ever gets lost in the facility, someone will always find her because it's locked down. The good thing about it is that the residents outside of memory care would immediately call the staff if they notice a memory care resident walking where they are not supposed to be."

"I went to Potomac Place Assisted Living and Memory Care. They seemed to have very nice people working there. The facility itself is very, very nice, clean, and well-kept. The layout is very good. In general, it's a beautiful place. But I don't want to leave Alexandria because all my doctors are here. The rooms are gorgeous. They have a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room, and a bedroom. It is all very clean, very neat, and very nice. The person who took me around was lovely, lovely, lovely. She's a very nice person. She explained everything to us in detail. I would love to be her friend. You get your meals if you live there. Meals are included, and you get three meals a day. If you want to, you can have your meals in your own apartment if you don't want to go to the dining room. They have a beauty salon and a barbershop. They got everything there that you would need. They have patios and out front, they have a lot of seating where you can sit out there and visit and have company. As you enter, they have a visiting area, too. They have their mailboxes where mail is delivered here. You have your own keys and your own mailboxes. It's beautifully decorated. It's gorgeous."

"I can’t say enough glowing things about Tribute at the Glen. My dad moved here in January and they have taken such good care of him and my mother. His experience in the memory care unit at Tribute over the last two months was just phenomenal. He received top notch, loving care from every person there. My mom did too. She came to see him as much as she could and the staff and admins not only knew her, they went out of their way to make sure she was happy with the care my father was receiving and they provided a compassionate listening ear whenever she needed to process her feelings. My dad died on Tuesday and I can’t think of a more loving environment for him to have died in. Less than 12 hours after he died, a big bouquet of flowers from Tribute were delivered to my mom’s house offering condolences. If you can’t keep your loved one at home in their later years, you really can’t ask for a better place to have them spend their remaining time. The elderly are treated with dignity and respect here. They are well loved and taken care of. I’m very happy to chat details with anyone considering this facility – don’t hesitate to reach out. "

"The process of transitioning a loved one into a memory care facility could, quite possibly, be the most difficult I have ever experienced. The Herculean effort to make this transition smooth and welcoming on the part of the owners and the director of Evermore has been truly remarkable. They welcomed my dad as if he was a member of their own family. We were sure he would resist this move at every opportunity, but with the added care and attention to detail to make him feel at home, he transitioned with very little stress. We toured a number of assisted living facilities in the Northern Virginia area and none impressed us like Evermore. Beyond just the personal touches and the intimate setting, the technology was beyond my expectations. They have thought of everything to make the residents comfortable. The medical staff is wonderful! They are so gentle and considerate with my dad and we have nothing but confidence that he is being cared for with respect. "I like the atmosphere at Tribute at The Glen. It was a nice setup. The accessibility to the floors was good. They have elevators. It had a pretty much open view with lots of windows and natural light. It was quiet for the most part on the inside. There's good soundproofing between the rooms. You couldn't hear sound penetration from one room to the other. Then they have some activities. They take the people out and have entertainment come in, which was good. The person who gave the tour was very good. We got a lot of information more than what we asked for. The facility was pretty clean."

"Westminster at Lake Ridge was unbelievable because it's a continuity of care. So, their property was gigantic. We looked in the main building. They had nice apartments. The common areas were beautiful. There were lots of dining areas. They had a pool, a fitness center, and everything. The person who did the tour was super nice. She was great. We liked her. They have what they called "age in place" where you had to hire people to come in and take care of you. They were great, but they weren't what we were looking for."
