"My grandma mother and i went to this facility to see what my grandmother thought of it. In all honesty she did not want to be put into assisted living or any type of service like this to begin with. Though while we were there she did say it was not very bad. It was not run down and horrible like you always here people say. The people were generally happy but wanted to talk to us a lot so it took up a lot of our time. My grandam seemed to enjoy it a lot. The place was pretty nice in my opinion i have been in the hospital a lot when i was younger and this place was on par with what i have seen. It was not too fancy like i thought it was going to be and was also pretty expensive. She ended up not liking the place, but she was skewed to begin with. It was also a little out of her budget which she also continue to add all the time. "

"The place was beautiful. But they had a really bad customer service. They made us run around. We gave them all the papers, we have credit and we gave them $50 deposit. But it didn't work because they said my mom's credit needs to be $620 and they told us to pay some of her bills. We paid her bills and her credit went up. Now they were asking for tax papers. It was just ridiculous. They made us feel that they don't want certain people there. "

"I toured Holiday City at Monroe. It's an independent living community, and the homes that they sell are just beautiful. They do have a swimming pool there. They have a separate facility for social activities."

"I liked Allegria at the Fountains. They are renovating. It's spacious enough. I love the idea of having the trees and the scenery. It would be to my advantage to get involved with everything. It would be better for me to be in a facility that has rehab facilities, so when I replace my hip, I would have the services right there. I wouldn't have to go anywhere. The staff was very, very helpful. We did try their lunch, and we saw their area for dinner. We had hamburger sandwiches and they were very good. They offer exercise and other amenities. They have sewing, art, and different activities. They're very, very friendly. We walked in and we were taken care of. There's a church across the street from them."
