"I toured The Gallery at North Port. I like the amenities that are available for that situation. We like the floor plan. We looked at one unit. The environment was very positive. The people we saw there seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is important to us. Their amenities were the typical ones. They have a pool, various activities, and major social events. There are meals every day in the large eating area."

"Jean showed us around the Grand Villa of Port Charlotte, and I really liked her. I also met one of the cooks and some other people who work there, and I liked everyone. Their food was awesome. They're renovating everything right now, but it was still clean. There was no mess in the room. They have a dog park, and they're putting in a library inside, a coffee place, a movie theater, and a fitness room. They're over $1,000 a month less than the other place I visited."

"I had an in-person tour of Parkside Assisted Living and Memory Care. It wasn't like a resort. It was like a very nice assisted living facility with many amenities. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was very thorough, accommodating, and welcoming. They were a little expensive and kind of small for me."

"I thought Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles was excellent for senior living. I thought everything was great. The rooms were of a nice size. I like their kitchenettes and their very friendly staff. I thought everything was wonderful. I was greeted nicely at the front entrance, and I was given a nice tour. The people are very friendly and courteous. The place was very clean. It seemed like the property was well-kept."

"I toured Vick Street Manor. The staff was so nice. They seemed on the same page, organized, and friendly. The facility was very clean and organized."

"The rooms are spacious and kept very clean, The food in the dining room is restaurant quality. There are plenty of activities to join in or you can just sit quietly on the veranda. The staff is the best you will find anywhere"

"My wife is in Liana Venice. I'm happy with it. It is strictly a memory care unit. They have the right level of medical care and 24-hour nurses plus the nurse practitioner, so they can handle adjusting the meds as time goes on for the memory care person. That's the reason why I picked them among other things, that they're only a few years old and the place is very nice. They've got a great chef and the people that I've met, the administration and the nurses and everything is just fantastic. They have entertainment coming in, they have several large TVs around the place that people can watch during the day, and they play cards. I don't know about the other activities because my wife hasn't been there long enough. I can't believe how great the staff is. It's a good value when I compare it to other places that also charge the same amount or more and have less qualified medical care. It's new, well kept, clean, and doesn't smell. I haven't sampled the food, but they have a chef there and the menus that I've seen seemed to be pretty good. She hasn't complained and that's something in itself, but that's just particular to her, I don't know for anybody else."

"I cannot say enough good things about Banyan. From the very beginning, their entire team has been professional, compassionate, and incredibly supportive. They guided me through a very difficult process with clarity and patience, always making sure my questions were answered and my concerns were heard. The unique setting is truly one of a kind. Residents have ready access to the outdoors, with beautiful gardens everywhere that provide daily stimulation and peace. The gazebo is a hub of activity, where music and engaging “sports” like cornhole and adapted darts are led by caring, energetic staff. These activities not only brighten the days but also foster connection and joy. What stood out most to me was the community atmosphere. The thoughtful blending of assisted living with memory care gave my relatively younger husband (65 with FTD) a genuine sense of belonging, while providing me with an extended support team to collaborate with for his best care. It felt less like an institution and more like a family working together. It is rare to find an organization that combines expertise with such genuine human care. Banyan goes above and beyond, and I am deeply grateful for their role in making a challenging time more manageable. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a place where both residents and their loved ones are embraced with compassion, dignity, and respect."

"I toured Elison Assisted Living of Bella Vita. It was very nice and the people were very nice. The staff was excellent. The dining area looks nice. I just like the overall layout of it."

"My parents will be moving into AdviniaCare Venice. As they age they'll be able to go through all of the levels of care at the same place, and that was important to them. I liked that the staff there didn't have a high turnover. They showed us a model room that had 350 square feet with a little kitchenette, two closets, and a bathroom. I actually sat there yesterday filling out my paperwork and watched the residents do trivia, and then there was a scavenger hunt going on while I was sitting in the lobby."

"The Goldton at Venice was excellent. The people who toured us around were very knowledgeable. I saw the guy who handled the physical therapy. The dining room was exceptional. The rooms were very well kept and clean. It was a really nice location. It was very clean and sparkly. I was impressed. I would have put my husband there, but it's not going to come about."

"The Courtyard could be my choice because they allow cats, which is my mother's only concern. Right now, I'm still on hold for Medicaid Diversion Program. I'm just waiting for the funding from state of Florida so I could get her in some place. The staff, as far as that goes, is very helpful, and they seem to have more connections as far as getting the funding done. They're very helpful and attentive to my mom's health and needs. She would get good care there. "

"My dad stayed at Brookdale Palmer Ranch extended rehab for about 2 months after a fall that resulted in a pelvic fracture. The care he received was excellent, PT 5 days a week and attentive nursing. They got him back to weight bearing faster than expected. The rooms aren’t fancy but they are clean and well maintained. There were many daily activities to entertain the residents. All of the staff I met were kind, compassionate and competent. This place was by far the best of the 4 rehab facilities he has been in over the last several years. We are grateful for the care my dad received there."
