"My parents were former residents of Ashton Place Senior Living. They had an apartment with their own car, although the place provided transportation if they needed it. They have all different levels of care, but my parents were independent. It was very nice, well-kept, and well-maintained. The staff was very good, friendly, and accommodating. Before Covid hit, my dad said the food was excellent. He was very impressed and loved every meal. He spoke highly of it. When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For activities, they have organized bingo and Mardi Gras parties. They even had local musicians come in. They also had Sunday services right there, and they didn't even have to go to church. It was not cheap, but they did go above and beyond."

"Everyone seemed to have high esteem. Food was good and everyone was well taken care of. Enjoyed seeing each other for dinner and talking about their days. Workers were friendly and respected the elderly and vice versa. Always had some activities and special events that happened. Elderly loved looking at the dinner menus and describing their favorite meals. Very polite and generous and loved to get some extra attention. From what I could tell, they received good care, as none of them ever seemed to complain. They had daily exercise that many went to and seemed to enjoy. They lived in apartments that were clean and had enough space for them to complete activities. Others who I have spoken to about the facility seem to have good things to say as well. All in all, i think the facility was well kept and enjoyable. "

"We visited Parkwood Heights. The staff was very nice and friendly. It had a good atmosphere. The calendar of events looked interesting and included fun things to do. We tasted the food,which was very good. "

"My mother lived at Clark Manor House for seven years, and it was very nice. They took very good care of her. The grounds are very nice and include a walking areas and a little greenhouse that people can tend their gardens raised up in boxes so people can reach them without getting down on the ground. They often have concerts in the summertime outside which was very nice. The food was excellent and the dining room was quite beautiful. The servers and caretakers were always good to my mom the whole time she was there. She had a silly little dog that she was able to keep there. The activities were quite extraordinary, like movies, and in the wintertime, people would play the piano in the lobby, have wine and cheese parties, concerts, and crafts. They also had a beauty shop, and the two women who worked there were wonderful."
