Population can change at any time, currently there are males and females. Most of the individuals are 60 or older. Most of the resident's need minimal care (medication assistance, house keeping, cooking, etc.), but we do have a few residents that need more one-on-one assistance. Most of the resident's enjoy doing various activities outside during the summertime. We have a small garden, a few outdoor cats, a paved walkway for exercise, and a covered porch to enjoy the outdoors.
What programs or activities does Golden Years Retirement Home 2 - CLOSED offer to enrich residents' well-being?
We have daily activities as well as weekly outings for the residents to enjoy. A few daily in-home activities are Bingo, exercise (stationary bike, exercise video, walk outdoors), crafts, puzzles, and activity books. We go to town at least once a week depending on what the residents would like to do. More common outings are to the casino, out for lunch, shopping in Cortez, and going to the theatre. We go to monthly and seasonal activities as available. Currently the residents like to go to the Dolores rotary supper and bingo, when the circus is in town we go, we've also been on the Durango train, and seen the Bar D Wranglers.

Golden Years is located a few minute walking distance to Dolores. There's a dollar store, grocery store, post office, library, a few restaurants, and plenty of beautiful space to explore.
