"The staff at Hometown Manor Assisted Living - Russellville seems very caring. The meals are great. My mother-in-law is well cared for. Her medications are given to her correctly. She likes it there. All of the other residents seem to be very happy there. You can visit at any time. If you feel that the resident is OK, then you're able to take them out for an outing if you wish. They have birthday parties for them. They have special events once a month for them. They play games. It's a real nice place. I would recommend it to anyone. She has one large room with a bed, a sofa, her TV, a chair, a table, a restroom, and a walk-in closet. They have smaller rooms, and they have a couple that are for two people. It just needs a little bit of updating."

"We chose Oak Pointe for my mother-in-law because it was close to us (it's just right down the road), but also price wise, and it doesn't have a nursing home or hospital feel. It's just like an old house that was redone and made into an assisted living, and they have the option of shared rooms and private rooms. They're always on top of everything. I can call or send a message and they're right on it, and they come to me and keep me updated. I get messages from them and they update me on stuff. She loves the food and it's more like homecooked meals. She's loved just about every meal. They're still updating some stuff. They have a salon, an activity room, and two TV rooms. We're getting what we pay for."

"I toured Arcadia Senior Living Clarksville. They are very invested in their people. It is a very clean, updated, safe environment. It is not on a main highway. My husband and I would move in there in a heartbeat if we were of that age, it's exactly what we were looking for. The staff was very helpful and very nice. They interacted with people as we were walking around. They knew everybody's names. Somebody needed some help while we were there, and they paused for a moment and gave them their assistance, so they are very hands-on. Everything was very clean, everything was very up-to-date, and everything was in a very nice livable condition. No updating that needed to go on. They also have a library, a gym, and outdoor spaces."

"We recently lost our Dad but we were so very happy he lived at Jubilee House. He enjoyed lots of company and really loved his little apartment. He often said how much he liked living there. The aides and nursing staff were very good and gave him comfort that he would always have help when needed. The facility is top notch and the food was good as well. The staff were attentive when we spoke to them about any issues at all. They showered him with love and care. "

"The Neighborhood is a warm and friendly place. My Mom is there and she was resistant when she moved in but their patience and caring allowed her to be assimilated. She loves the staff and the care they take with all her needs. She enjoys socialization with people of her age group. The food is good and there are plenty of activities to do [thank you Jessica!]. The resident care Director is excellent, always willing to assist when special needs come up. It is a wonderful place for my Mom. She really likes it there."

"Friendship House of Hopkinsville is operated in connection with the Christian church. It's quite large, it has apartments of different sizes, and it also has a nursing home on the same campus. Of all those I've visited, that is the best. You buy into the independent living apartments, so when you pass on you have something you own, and I like that part of it. They seem friendly people. The place is very well maintained. They have activities that appeal to me, including religious ones. If I ever have to go to one, that's the one at the moment I would choose for myself, but I'm not ready for that yet. If I could get my friend up here I would. I went over and investigated it myself. I was taken on a tour of it and that was before we went into quarantine. The staff was excellent. The apartments were very well maintained, they had considerable space in them, and the finances were better than what I've seen elsewhere. I would give them a very high rating on what I've seen. I did not inspect the nursing home itself. They had bible class, all kinds of parties, constant activities that people can go on, trips, and things like that. On the whole, it's a very good place. It's not too far from the central part of the city. It's maybe a mile or a mile and a half from the downtown, but an ideal location. It's by far the best thing I've seen. I prefer the ones that are operated by religious groups. The ones that are operated for profit seem to just cut cost at every possible opportunity while the others try to get service."
